Who We Are
Made by hand in Lubbock, Texas.
Since 2015, I have spent my nights and weekends covering sports, fine arts, and community events as a photojournalist all across the state. From Friday night lights to December playoffs, Summers on the band lot to the Alamodome, and concert halls small and large, I have shot nearly 2 million frames covering some incredible moments.
After a nearly a decade of using an untold number of camera straps, I set out to make my own; A strap that worked how I wanted, something that was low profile, and would survive my tendency to crawl and climb around stadiums. In 2024, I made my dream a reality and it gave way to a love for leathercraft.
All my life, I have been inescapably joined to the creative community. In addition to photography, I am proud of my time in Texas Tech’s Goin’ Band from Raiderland as a trumpet player, my first love in music was the electric guitar, and I possess an inordinate amount of fountain pens with which I write daily. Heck… I love the arts so much, I married a band director!
In a world where everything is made to be disposable and companies would rather sell you a subscription than let you own something, it is my goal to make things for creatives that endure.
The athletes and musicians that I cover refer to me as pixel5 more than my legal name. My name is truly above the door and I hope that you love Pixel Five leather goods as much as I love creating them.

Head of Security
Sophie
A dog of focus, commitment, and sheer will. There may be no storefront to protect, but that has never stopped her before. "Nothing gets by her" is an understatement, because "nothing" is what she barks at 24/7. Monsters check under their beds for Sophie each night.

Luna
Begging for attention when someone is entirely too focused on their work is a tough job, but someone has to do it. "Empty head, no thoughts" is her motto, or it would be if she knew what a motto was. With Luna on the team, productivity is way down but employee morale is way up.
